Outfit of the day: a 6×2 double-breasted suit with patch pockets using Ariston fabric, custom J. Lawrence shirt, Edward Green Ecton in tobacco suede, wool pocket square from Breuer and necktie by Drake’s of London.
Corneliani ID for fall — Two of our latest fall items from the Italian Corneliani ID label. On the outer layer, a reversible vest that features one wool side and one quilted faux suede side, both with leather accents. Underneath, a sweater jacket with knitted sleeves and flannel chest and a quilted interior. We think it pairs well with chocolate corduroy trousers and hatch-grain chukka boots from Gaziano & Girling.
Jim’s outfit of the day: Zegna fabric jacket, Carlo Barbera fabric trousers, made-to-measure J. Lawrence shirt with Sterling silver cufflinks, six-fold untipped Viola Milano cashmere necktie, Edward Green nutmeg suede Ecton bluchers, and an umbrella from Francesco Maglia.
Charcoal grey and brown, when worn separately, have the ability to be year round colors. In this outfit, we used them together. The result is a deeply rich mixture of color, that looks great on an Autumn day.
One of the things we love about Luciano Barbera at Khaki’s of Carmel is their ability to take an idea in sportswear and transform it in an elegant way. This quilted coat is given a subtle plaid wool in rich and saturated burgundy, navy and brown tones and highlighted with a deep purple lining. And the addition of a breast pocket and dual vents gives the coat a refined touch.
We’ve paired it with flannel plaid shirt, a donegal striped tie, corduroy 5-pocket pants and double-monk strap shoes from Gaziano & Girling.
