We just wanted to share a cool little video showcasing some positively amazing style:
No matter how much versatility there is on the floor here at Khaki’s, most guys like something unique every once in a while. Whether it’s personalized buttons, fabric or a name sewn onto the jacket’s lining, there is something to be said for having a piece that is truly one’s own. Here at Khaki’s, we offer an extensive made-to-measure program and pay attention to even the minutest of details. If your shoulders, for instance, slope forward 3/4 of an inch, we take that in to account when constructing the garment just for you.
However not everybody realizes the extent of our customization capabilities. We also offer complete personalization in footwear from Edward Green out of England. You say you’d like a medallion tip balmoral boot in burnished pine with a chiseled toe and dainite soles, and for the top to be chocolate suede? No problem, it’s on the way! Edward Green allows for you to pick all of the details, and we can even mold the last to fit your foot better, such as adding a narrower heel or a wider toe-box. And if you want a real treat, ask about our customizable 4-ply Italian cashmere sweaters. Those, my friend, will blow you away.

One of the more subtle ways to add a bit of coordination to your outfit is with a well selected belt. Not only is it entirely practical, but also a way to show individuality and a bit of flare if one so desires. The basic rules denote that it should match in color with your shoes, and that the buckle should fasten through the middle hole to ensure proper fit. These are great guidelines, but as we’ve said before, rules are meant to be bent!
Firstly, it is always fun to infuse the different textures of exotic leathers within your outfit. Glazed alligator, for instance, can add sophistication to your ensemble and bring the dressiness up a notch. On the other hand, ostrich can add a lot of interest through its unique look and will normally fall on the side of casual. The size of the buckle and width of the belt’s band are the best ways to determine the level of formalness, with larger and wider normally being better suited for casual affairs. Lastly, color is likely the best way to truly differentiate yourself. Unlike the aforementioned rules, sometimes having a belt that completely contrasts your belt and flows with another part of your outfit is a great way to make a statement.
At Khaki’s we carry great stock of some of the best leather manufacturers in the world, but we’re always happy to custom make any type of belt that you like. So next time you’re looking for that forest green hornback alligator belt with a sterling silver buckle and contrast stitching be sure to keep us in mind!
We just put out some of the lightest weight leather imaginable yesterday. These jackets are buttery soft to the touch and look absolutely amazing. The deep browns, burnished blacks, and pebble grains are among some of the best we’ve seen. The Italian manufacturer, Gimo’s, is usually characterized by its unique way of combining elegant and dynamic styles for the modern man. Focused from the beginning on high using high quality materials and production, Gimo’s has remained faithful in adhering to the traditional Italian methods of tailoring while also keeping it’s door open to new and innovative techniques and designs. If you stop by, be sure to check out the one with the cashmere lining – you’ll be glad you did!
Here are a couple of new commissions for clients that just came in. Have a look and see what you think!

So far this month in Carmel, one would have a hard time knowing that we’re actually in December if there wasn’t a calendar around! It’s been absolutely beautiful, if just a little cold. With the sun shining, the birds chirping, and the waves of the Pacific Ocean crashing just down the street, the first glimpses of spring seem to have already made their way here. For all of you wanting to be the first to begin looking for the new collections, we at Khaki’s are happy to oblige! We’ve begun mixing a few select pieces from next season from certain designers into our assuredly winter showroom in order to give some of you a sneak peek at the upcoming excitement.
One of new arrivals is an ultra light cashmere 3-button sweater from Luciano Barbera. Even though it’s cashmere, it has the weight of a feather and comes in some amazingly spring colors like dove gray, light jasper, soft turquoise, and a beautiful pastel yellow. With these new transitional pieces, we hope to bring some splashes of color in to what traditionally the season for dark and cool. If you’re in the area, be sure and stop by and ask one of our highly trained associates to preview the new collections.
